Peace, Be Still
- I'm feeling tossed and torn.
- What should I do?
- My ship is in a violent storm
- In the midst of impending doom.
-
- I start to fret as I feel my boat sinking
- In the midst of life's violent sea.
- I continue to panic at the thought of drowning.
- It seems like no one can help me.
-
- But then I hear a still small voice
- Speaking to the wind and waves.
- He firmly commands them: "Peace, be still,"
- And the storm passes away.
-
- He gives me peace in every situation,
- And the world can't take it away.
- His peace is way beyond man's comprehension,
- And it stills life's storms each day.
-
- He is my peace, in the midst of life's storms,
- And He's overcome the world.
- My peace is in and through Him alone.
- I'll be still for I know He is God.
