I Am Not Alone

Life is filled with trials
That rise up on every side.

Sometimes I see just trouble

Darkening up the sky.

 

Sometimes I feel quite helpless

In these seemingly endless storms.

But the Lord is my strong tower,

And I am not alone.

 

Often the enemy attacks me

In body, soul, and mind

As he tries to distract me

And shake my trust in Christ.

 

But God gives me the Victory,

And I'm covered by His blood.

I know He's always with me,

And I am not alone.

 

Though troubled on every side,

I am not distressed.

Though puzzled and confused sometimes,

I have no despair.

 

Though persecuted, I am not forsaken;

Though cast down, I am not destroyed.

For I rest safely in God's hand,

And I am not alone.

 

My strength and pride will fail me

As I race to win the crown,

But the Lord will not forsake me.

Thus, I am not alone.

 

Though my body is weak and weary

And seems just about to faint,

The Lord is always with me,

And, in my weakness, His strength prevails.

 

Though the world crumbles around me

And I lose all my flesh could want,

The Lord is always with me.

So I am not alone.
