Most installations include the following software which is installed.
This is our recommended Internet browser. We cannot provide technical support for other browsers, such as Opera and Firefox.
This is our recommended e-mail program for those with paid Internet Service Providers. If you have selected a free service, the service selected will have its own e-mail function (Juno, etc.). We are unable to provide support for any other e-mail program.
This software is an office type suite containing a word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation program. This is provided because of its compatibility with Microsoft Office. It is a somewhat difficult to learn, but does offer some advantages (free). We are not able to support this package at this time. However, it is a worthwhile package to explore. Program information and updates are available from http://www.openoffice.org.
This is a free virus detection program offered by Grisoft. Updates are available from their website at http://www.grisoft.com. Your computer is configured to automatically update your antivirus every time you are on the Internet.
This is a freeware program necessary to open archives downloaded from the Internet.
This is a free media player provided by Microsoft, and is quite versatile for all types of multimedia, including videos and music.
Foxit Reader is a free reader for PDF documents. You can view and print PDF documents with it. http://www.foxitsoftware.com
This is a program to help eliminate Spyware and Adware. It must be run frequently and updated frequently to remain effective.
IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista. http://www.irfanview.com
Crossloop is a free program which will allow a technician to remotely log in to your computer and help solve problems. http://www.crossloop.com
